Hi everybody. Well has been awhile since last post hence the title of this one which stands for the months gone from blogger. Since March 2019 have made four trips to the northwest to spend time with baby Luna, Wendy and Josh as well do a little hiking. July and August Betty and I tag teamed swapping spots to ensure both Grand Daughters Rhea and Luna were covered. We did have a week or so overlay when got to be in the NW together. While in the Seattle area Deb and I got a way to spend time in Glacier National Park with the highlight being a hike on the highland trail. Other highlights in the NW included camping on the Olympic coast and Orcas island. Baby Luna loves spending time in a tent as well as the beach.

Both Rhea and Luna had their one year old baby luaus with each bringing good fun. Josh and Wendy made it back to the islands over Labor Day as well as Christmas. They along with Ray, Becca, Deb, Betty put together an awesome 70th birthday party for da old man. All swear no need to ever have another party at the homestead because not only does such take a lot of energy to pull off but primarily because that one can never be topped. All three adult children/spouses were home, as well as niece and grandnephew from Taiwan, nephew's fam from Kaneohe, sister in law with her sister from PA and Texas plus neighbors and friends. The fun continued into late September with a trip to Maui where Becca got us a first class suite at low rent prices plus $0 air fare via southwest promotion.

Betty and I went to Thailand and Taiwan 12/8-12/22. Six of those days were spent on a road trip through northeast Thailand's Mekong river delta area. I banged my head on one of our hotel's low hanging bathroom doors (picture attached). Also fell down on an early morning run with scraps to knee, face, shoulder, and seahawks hat (photo attached). Our last night of the trip after attending a wedding party in Taipei the cab we were in got smacked in the rear passenger side where I was sitting by a bus. The driver in addition to saying it was our cabbie's fault noted that plenty cars hit his bus. Although felt well at the time there are still nights they go and sleep on the floor to back soreness.

In Feb 2020 did a virtual Kaneohe Marine Corps marathon. The goal for participants was to track how many miles covered over a 21 day period. and as long as the total exceeded 26.2 then would get a medal with t-shirt. As had just bagged on doing the Kagoshima 3/1/2020 marathon due to the virus race cancel decided to enter the virtual event to at least getting something for the 1002 miles with half of those at uptempo pace had put in over the previous 26 weeks. After 19 days and 229 miles (some walking most running) stopped reporting in but nonetheless still came in 2nd. There are people my age who can do a marathon a day for 30 days in a row but I am not one of those so was thrilled with what was able to do. Fell down again on one of the event days while rushing through a residential intersection so a car would not have to wait. Bloodied leg and arm but finished the run.

Also in Feb 2020 army buddy Carlos Montoya came to spend time at O`Tooles and Makapuu. Went to their daughter's wedding a few months earlier in NM. Do regret have not seen brother John and Wei since 02/19 (can read about in post dated that month) and have not seen brother Paul and Susie for over two years. Hopefully once can travel again will be able to rectify such. We do keep in touch though.

I was originally going to have captions with photos but there is something going on with blogger these days in that am not able to save drafts or correct what wrote, Only option seems to write the post and publish so am loading in a bunch of photos that cover the stuff talked about in above paragraphs and they for sure will be out of order, and have no captions so sorry about that. If have any questions or comments please send and will try and get back to you. In the meantime please take care and may you stay well.
